Naval Cemetery

The Naval cemetery at Stoja situated close to Valkane Beach, dating from 1866, is the site where 150,000 soldiers from the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy (until 1918) were buried. This cemetery was listed as one of the monuments protected under The Hague Convention. A walk through the Naval cemetery is also a walk through the history of Pula.
